Are you ready for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in protecting Aotearoa/New Zealand's borders? NEW ZEALAND CUSTOMS SERVICE | TE MANA ĀRAI O AOTEAROA is on the lookout for a Senior Privacy Advisor to join their awesome Information Sharing and Privacy team! 🔒



What's the gig about?



  • 6-month fixed term or secondment role

  • Work from anywhere in NZ (as long as there's a Customs office nearby)

  • Help manage personal information and improve privacy practices

  • Lead key projects and provide expert advice on complex privacy issues



What you'll bring to the table:



  • Privacy expertise - You know your stuff when it comes to impact assessments, policy issues, and complaint resolution

  • Legal know-how - Solid understanding of the Privacy Act and related legislation

  • People skills - Build relationships across Customs and beyond

  • Problem-solving prowess - Navigate complex situations with ease

  • Communication chops - Write clearly for various audiences



Bonus points if you have a law degree or experience in a regulatory environment!
