What's the gig all about? 🤔
As our Discharge Coordinator, you'll be the bridge between our clinical staff and billing providers. You'll be working with patient data, chatting with doctors and nurses, and making sure everyone's on the same page when it comes to discharges and billing. It's all about keeping those long hospital stays and write-offs to a minimum! 💪
What will you be doing? 📋
- 🩺 Assessing patients and planning their care
- 🤝 Coordinating with the multidisciplinary team to keep discharge plans on track
- 💬 Communicating with patients and families about discharge plans and expectations
- 💰 Liaising with finance and insurance teams to sort out coverage and payments
- 🛏️ Managing patient flow and bed utilization
- 📝 Keeping accurate records and documentation
- 🏆 Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance in all discharge processes
- 🎓 Supporting and educating staff on discharge best practices
What are we looking for? 🕵️♀️
- 2+ years experience in healthcare
- Excel wizard with mad analytical skills
- Team player who can also work independently
- Detail-oriented with great organizational skills
- Excellent communicator who can build relationships
